REGIONAL SALES EXECUTIVE
Description
This position is designed to generate new business and add-on sales within the Edmunds GovTech organization.
Regional Sales Executives must be able to prospect and create leads, meet sales goals and KPI’s, and have industry experience within the municipal software sector. The Regional Sales Executive position is salary plus commission-based, and reports to the VP of Sales and Marketing.
This position is available remote or Dallas, TX, Houston, TX or Austin, TX.
Expectations
We rely on our Regional Sales Executive to:
- Meet sales objectives, goals, and KPI’s.
- Software demonstration attendance, both virtual and on-site.
- Cold call and prospect within the given territory.
- Fill and maintain an active sales pipeline.
- Work directly with the marketing department on campaigns and sales strategies.
- Trade show and conference attendance for territory prospecting.
- Have detailed conversations on various products, discoveries, and identify prospect needs.
- Utilize Salesforce CRM database to record accurate activities and notes on sales opportunities.
- Generate reports, pull accurate information, and create quotes and pricing from Salesforce.
- Schedule appointments and meetings with current opportunities and leads.
- Understand assigned territory competitive landscape, geography, and needs.
- Attend Sales and Marketing meetings.
Requirements and Qualifications
We require that our Regional Sales Executive exhibit or possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree a Plus)
- Prior sales experience in Government Software industry
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Tools
- Proficient using Salesforce CRM to record accurate activities and notes.
- Organized and detail oriented
- Proficient public speaking skills
- Willing to travel up to 50% in designated territory

Our EGT Customer Support Specialist sare the people behind our software –the informed, friendly and supportive voice at the end of each support inquiry. They are the key ingredient in enabling our local government customers to maximize the impact of our software in service to their communities. With our internal training program and experience, they are the subject matter experts of our local government ERP software applications, and the guide to our customers’ experience with EGT.
No one is more proud than us of what our software can do to help local governments operate more efficiently, but what sets us even further apart is our team’s dedication and commitment to the customer experience. After a customer’s transition from our software implementation team, it is the Customer Support Specialist that most defines our relationship with our local government customers.
The Customer Support Specialist who dives head-first into our training programs and relationship building with our colleagues and supplements that EGT learning with additional industry materials to understand how local governments work (and specifically how enterprise resource planning software facilitates those operations) has no limit to their career path within EGT. Across each of our teams, leaders and managers, you will find people whose first experience with us was as a Customer Support Specialist.
Expectations
We rely on our Customer Support Specialists to maintain and grow our customer relationships through:
- collaboration with teammates across our organization, including our software engineers, QA analysts, data services analysts and implementation consultants, to develop a core knowledge base of our software’s functionality and interrelationship with other tools frequently utilized by our customers along with an understanding of local government ERP software industry best practices;
- timely, patient and respectful attention to our customers in receiving, troubleshooting and resolving reported issues;
- awareness of what is known and unknown, and when consultation with our subject matter experts (e.g., a software engineer or implementation consultant) is the best path to address our customers’ needs;
- maintenance of accurate and detailed records of all customer interactions to enable escalations and subsequent references to be clearly and easily ascertained; and
- creation and contribution to customer support content such as knowledgebase articles, videos, webinars and FAQs.

Description
Our EGT Software Presentation Specialists are known as our product experts and are the lead role in our product demonstration process. The primary focus of the Software Presentation Specialist is to share information about the ERP system developed by Edmunds GovTech with prospective customers. As an EGT Software Presentation Specialist, you will work with other team members and regional sales directors to understand prospective clients’ needs and prepare and present tailored product demonstrations.
Expectations
We will primarily rely on our Software Presentation Specialists to:
- Provide pre–sales technical & functional software demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Assist with pre-sales technical follow up throughout the sales process.
- Act as a product, industry, and subject matter expert for sales representatives and marketing content.
- Develop sales and marketing content – videos, webinars, blogs, and interviews.
- Maintain a working understanding of Edmunds’ market position and an advanced knowledge of the local governmental marketplace.
- Assist with proposal generation, RFP responses, sales and marketing tasks, and technical follow up.
Requirements
We will require that our EGT Software Presentation Specialists exhibit:
- Edmunds GovTech Software experience, preferred but not required.
- Public sector fund accounting or payroll processing knowledge a plus.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills

Qualifications
We anticipate that our most successful Software Presentation Specialists would possess:

Location Preference

Description
The Implementation Consultant is responsible for executing several critical activities throughout our ERP software implementations including gathering business and workflow requirements, gap analysis, data conversion review, validation, training, and system configuration.
Expectations
We rely on our Implementation Consultant to:
- Lead clients through successful implementation of EGT ERP & Finance Software Products
- Review and identify customer business process and workflow requirements
- Use subject matter expertise to consult clients on optimal use of our products for their business
- Educate and train users on software functionality, remote or onsite
- Work with client and QA analysts on data mapping documents while delivering high-quality customer service
- Validate data conversions are accurate and meet project scope requirements
- Provide instruction and guidance to clients for proper data review and validation
- May work with QA and Product Management teams to document and test product features and change requests
- Create training agendas, client specific process documentation, and other required project documents
- Ability to use technical tools such as MS SQL, My SQL, Adobe LiveCycle, Monarch to assist with various project tasks
- May create custom forms and reports for client specific needs
- Organize project documentation and keep internal project tracking systems up to date
Requirements and Qualifications
